About Crowd Science

Providing big data solutions to the most amazing publishers on the world wide web and beyond.

Crowd Science began as the result of a startling realization – that advances in online research were little more than low-cost digital equivalents of traditional research instruments. Not a good fit for the complexities and fragmentation in the digital world.

“Where is the innovation?!” wondered the researchers and technologists who later became the founders of Crowd Science. Three years ago, compelled by their mutual need to innovate, they set out to bring big ideas from audience measurement, ad targeting, web analytics, and distributed computing to solve the problem of understanding crowds and people online….And it was good.

Soon more joined their cause from far flung places like Sydney, Australia,Toronto, Canada and yes, even Mountain View, California. With an experienced and passionate management team, a veteran group of directors and advisors, and top tier venture investors. Crowd Science has grown into a thriving start-up with an incredible portfolio of customers; all due to the crazy idea that market research and analytics should be progressive.

Our innovative CITRUS™ platform combines behavioral and survey-based data, and highly advanced audience segmentation and targeting, making it easier and more profitable for online publishers and networks to maximize their advertising opportunities.

Utilizing our proprietary methodologies, SmartSample and SmartControl, Crowd Science’s products help online publishers and networks generate highly accurate, actionable insights that increase ad sales, improve ad targeting, inform editorial decisions and site usability, and demonstrate ad campaign effectiveness.

CITRUS is now collecting data on over 178 million unduplicated monthly uniques, growing 120% since Oct 2011.
